WHO WE ARE

AQUABOOM PARKS DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH CORPORATION is a non-profit volunteer-based organization whose purpose is to provide support and improvement to the area of Kingsland, TX and the surrounding areas through the development and maintenance of park and community use areas and by providing assistance to various needed areas in the community mainly through fundraising endeavors benefiting other local charitable organizations.  These organizations may include, but are not limited to, schools, education programs, scholarship trusts, libraries, youth sports and improvement organizations, community beautification programs, emergency assistance programs.

For 52 years, our main fundraising event, the AquaBoom 4th of July Community Celebration, has evolved and grown from a simple BBQ, parade and fireworks to a multi-day, multi-event festival that has become vital to the very fabric of our community and Llano County.  A committee of area businesses and individuals spend months of preparation to produce an Independence Day celebration that surpasses any other in the Hill Country.  It is truly a community – driven endeavor that is just one example of Kingsland’s citizens love and support of each other and the area in which they live.
